5048: Emergency response to Life Threatening Asthma or Systemic Allergic Reactions (Anaphylaxis)

ESU employees will comply with the requirements of “Protocol: Emergency Response to Life Threatening Asthma or Systemic Allergic Reactions (Anaphylaxis)”. The ESU shall procure and maintain the equipment and medication necessary to implement the protocol.

The administrator shall obtain the required signature(s) of one or more physicians licensed to practice medicine in Nebraska on the form entitled “Protocol: Emergency Response to Life Threatening Asthma or Systemic Allergic Reactions (Anaphylaxis)” (“Protocol”). The administrator shall publish this policy and Protocol in each employee handbook.

The administrator shall arrange to have a qualified medical person train employees, and for training updates as necessary.
