On October 1, 1998, I started working for ESU4 and I have truly enjoy the family atmosphere and group of outstanding professionals employed by the service unit. For the first 5 years, I was the Transition Specialist and traveled the ESU4 area working with special educators, administrators, students and families. In 1998, I returned to my hometown of Nebraska City to lead the school I knew little about as a resident. As NCECBVI Administrator, I arrived at a time of total change and challenge and implemented a newly devised state plan for the delivery of services for students statewide. NCECBVI and ESU4 are truly special places to work as the staff members are committed, dedicated and proud of the important work done daily for all those we serve.
In 2016, Rob and I were married on our acreage in Nebraska City. I am blessed with three stepchildren, Bryce, ReAnn and Tori, and our furry friends who are part of the family as well. Acreage life provides me with plenty of outdoor work to offset my inside career, but we love it as it is a beautiful, peaceful retreat.
