June 4, 2008 - Project Citizen Training - This training offers participants the opportunity to learn about implementing a Civic Education Program for classrooms, groups, and civic clubs. June 21-27, 2008 - Hastings College Rio Grand Trails: Dr. Will Locke invites you to travel to the Upper Rio Grande River in the high country of southern Colorado and northern New Mexico.

Take Your Students Back In Time To The Crackerbox School At Pawnee City Historical Museum. Students will spend part of the day in an authentic classroom setting participating in activities typical of a turn-of-the-century one room school. Demonstrations will be given on rope making and water witching. For more information contact Sue at ESU 4 (274-4354 or email Sue Knickman).

KICKS Science - Summer institutes for Elementary and Secondary Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Inquiry teachers.

The Nebraska Mathematics Professional Development Series - A project of the Nebraska Mathematics Cadre, comprised of representation from each Nebraska ESU and NDE; this project is dedicated to enhancing the statewide need to build the required skills and knowledge teachers need in order to fully teach complex topics in algebra, geometry and data analysis..

Technology Workshops:

May 5, 2008 - Data Day from 9 AM - 3 PM. This session will focus on getting district assessment data ready for the NSSRS submission. Discussions will also take place concerning the pros/cons of importing data from ESU 6's spreadsheet into PowerSchool. A working copy of ESU 6's most recent spreadsheet along with your assessment data will be needed. Please bring these items with you to work on during the day. The day will be spent getting ready for the NSSRS submission days on May 22nd and June 11th. Register Here!
