Swivel To Success - How to help students will bipolar disorder succeed in your classrooms. Four free webinar series from ESU 13 will be provided by Tracy Anglada, author, mental health advocate, and founder of the BPChildren website. Each webinar is an hour in length (3:30 - 4:30 p.m.). March 9, 2010 - Para-educator 101 Training for Para-educators, Job Coaches and Classroom Teachers at NCECBVI, Nebraska City 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. This one-day workshop is designed for para-educators and job coaches who work with students with disabilities in a community-based setting. It is recommended that classroom teachers attend with para-educators. For registration information, contact Katrina (kligouri@esu4.org) or Barb Fischer at ESU 9, bfischer@esu9.org. There is no registration fee for this workshop.

March 23, 2010 - SE Nebraska Making it Work Transition Conference from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM at the SECC campus in Beatrice, NE. Target audiences include students with mild disabilities, ages 15-18, planning to transition from high school to post-secondary education or immediately to the work force. High school teachers and para-educators accompanying their students will participate in a "teacher strand" featuring technology and self-advocacy.

March 26, 2010 - ESU 4 ASD Team at ESU 4 from 1:00 - 3:30 PM. The second meeting of the ESU 4 ASD team will focus on organization, networking, and problem solving as we develop supports for professionals working with students with ASD.

April 7, 2010 - ESU 4 ASD Transition Taskforce at ESU 4. The third meeting of the taskforce will include a discussion of the Summary of Performance. Invitations will also be extended to representatives from Vocational Rehabilitation and Developmental Disabilities.
