4004 - Volunteers

Volunteers provide valuable assistance to the educational service unit and enrich its educational programs. People who volunteer for the educational service must do so under the conditions set forth below.

  1. Volunteers must provide the educational service unit with their name, address, telephone number, and any other information reasonably requested by the educational service unit.
  2. Upon the administrator's request, volunteers must execute a volunteer services agreement in a form acceptable to the administrator.
  3. The educational service unit may, but is not required to, conduct a criminal background check on any volunteer.
  4. Volunteers shall not perform the duties of a teacher as that term is defined in Nebraska statutes or regulations.
