3003 - Communication Between Employees and the Board
ESU employees have the same right to communicate with the Board of Educational Service Unit No. 4 ("Board") about matters of public concern as do other members of the public. However, ESU employees must follow the chain of command set forth in this policy before communicating with the Board about employment-related issues.
Chain of Command
- ESU employees should first submit all communications regarding their employment to their immediate supervisor.
- If necessary after communicating with their immediate supervisor, employees may submit such communications or reports to the ESU Administrator.
- If necessary after communicating with the ESU Administrator, employees may communicate with the Board, but only at a Board meeting. An employee may not, under any circumstance, discuss employment-related issues with an individual Board member.
